crack windshield

noticed a crack line just slightly below the shade tint when going out this morning...by 2.00pm on d way to honda servis...just noticed the line is about 3/4 of the whole glass...upon reaching the workshop, there is a hit spot on the upper part within the black line n did not notice from inside...hayyya kena g panel installer under etiqa kat jalan pahang...

UPDATE
...got the glass replaced on friday 12/6/09 at a shop in jalan pahang..nice n friendly towkeh...took them less than 1 hour to fix the thing n using the ori glass as to china one which is rm200 xtra to be topped up from the actual coverage...got to wait for 3 days before u could wash the car but ok for rain...shop warranty for one year....

if under tokio ori honda then the honda servis could handle it for you but as for us that it is under etiqa then another shop whom is the panel but not much hassle anyway...

mileage for petrol

sometime i got a mileage of 14.1km/l and sometime up to 16.2km/l..i will be monoitoring the station where i filled up and record the trend if certain station which is giving me low mileage n higher mileage...so far there are 3 regular stations that i've been filling up my gas....see see how after this..off-course this consumption is very much also depend on your driving condition but if certain station is giving that low average..hmmm something must be wrong..either with the gas company or the station itself...i'll be monitoring and recording...

update...i don't think it is the station..may be the quality of the petrol delivered...pretty much a guess though...

full load

emptied the whole boot yesterday before left to kuantan to pick up my two daughters after finishing their matriculation...doing at 120km most of the time on LPT...alone..the ride as expected is smooth as ussual...
expected the ride will be slower when coming back with three of us as passenger, boot full of load with books and stuff from their college..but it was otherwise...the ride was smooth and the car hugged the road smoother than empty load and no feeling of the car dragging because of the much much extra load..did not check the rpm though but was getting 14.5 to 14.6km/l compare to 14.7km/l coming alone to the office this morning...all to say is that the car felt better in handling and road hugging compare to less load where there is no springy feel...

the body got scratched by someone

gosh...coming down from office quite late one evening...after turning the key waiting for the injection sound to settle-down...heard this sound on the left side and realize the side mirror is swinging out..aaiikkk..i don't remember turning in the side mirror...ahaha..they must be something wrong ni...came out and check the mirror..obviously someone has already hit it..saw some marking on the corner..never mind because it is so small...
next day mentioned to my friend and check it again during the day under bright light...ok la still some scratch on the side mirror where could see the plastic ABS sort of the body base of the mirror...
only in the next morning while walking to the the car from left side only realised that the was a dent at the body contour line and the plastic guard below got a scratch too...damn it....

was given a budget of rm80 ooo to get a new car...was relieved then that approved for rm 80 000+ for the V_TEC rather than I-DSI version...chosen over toyota VIOS because of the 7-speed shift lever, the overall bigger look and trunk size despite the 'no-front no rear' design but the toyota backup battery alarm, anti-tow and boot remote are cool..ridewise is as comfort where the toyota SA dared to bring the car onto the bumpy road for the test ride...

little note:
was in kuantan on 9/3/08...just so curious on the speed these people doing while passing me on the LPT highway and decided to give a chase...just following them from behind la...managed to clock 150km/hr for about 2 to 3 minutes and pull back...waaa..another record for me when the fastest i ever manged last time..years back was 130km/hr with 1988 proton saga in 1991 or so...

OBSERVATIONS and NOTES:

- fuel consumption is on average of 15.1 to 15.6 km/liter
- usually on semi-auto mode as the fully auto is so smooth n always forgot to shift gear on auto-manual
- usually start the gear under S before shifting to D and turn on the semi-auto
- ride is very comfortable..wonder how civic n accord is like...
- rattling sound coming from the dashboard in early morning and non when the day getting hotter
- rode over a motorcycle once which felt on the road and scratched the lower right anti-rust portion
- rust dots appearing a few spots on the body...they said because of chipped by stones but....
- honda service centre is very strict on the service mileage being always putting up the mileage at the exact 5000s kms even the previous mileage is a bit over the 5000s...say 40560km but they will mark it 45000 not 45560 until my recent 55854 when they put as 60854 for my next visit but i think i'll go when the mileage is at 60000 though..yeeh but looks like i got to break this promise as i got the invitation to the photography function in kuantan tomorrow 12/1/08 and the mileage is now at 60407..heehhehehehe...
- just replaced the wiper blades on 3/12/07, so i need to take care more of the new wiper blade and will raise it up away from the windshield when parking under hot sun
- thanks to quick response of the engine and cvt changes..that i manage to clock 5hrs from shah alam to jeli of about 450km thru winding and hilly road of east-west hiway...not that i was speeding or what but rather following the speed limit..yeppp may be 5 or more km/hr more than the speed limit but not more than 10km/hr or so..who wants to pay that speeding ticket...lo
